Bria pulls the Mac Address Book contacts into Bria’s contacts. You can phone or IM them directly from Bria.
Setting up Mac Address Book account
Setting up the Mac Address Book account in Bria allows you to directly call or IM the contacts in your Mac Address Book.
To set up the Mac Address Book account
- On the menu bar, click Bria – Preferences. The Preferences window opens.

Click on the Accounts tab.
- Click + at the bottom to add an account.

Select Mac Address Book. Make sure to enable the account.
Bria pulls in the contact with the specified number already set up as a softphone address.
Permissions
Bria requires permission to use your Mac contacts on macOS Mojave and higher. If you are having issues with your Mac Address Book, check to make sure Bria has access to your contacts.
To give macOS contacts permission to Bria
- Click
to open the Apple menu and select System Preferences.
- Click Security & Privacy and select the Privacy tab.
- Find the Contacts category. Select Bria to allow access.
Bria's permissions are updated.
