When using Bria Desktop for Windows this is the way to transfer calls:
Step 1: To be able to do this, you must have already answered the call you want to transfer; so when you are ready to pass on the call to the other contact/phone number/extension, click on the transfer button next to the pause button.
Step 2: Then a bar will show up to enter the contact/phone number/extension you want to transfer the call to. Next to this bar you will see a "Transfer Now" button you must click on to transfer the call to the number you entered in the bar.
Step 3: After clicking "Transfer Now" this is what you will see while the other party's phone is ringing.
If you don't need to retake the call then hung up, if you do, then press and continue with the original call.
Finally, when the other person gets the call you will see this:
If you need to announce the transferred call to the other party then follow the steps below:
• After Step 1 and typing the contact/phone number/extension you wish to transfer the call to, instead of clicking the "Transfer Now" button, click on the down arrow next to it and a "Call First" option will display. Select it.
• When choosing "Call First" the call to be transferred will be automatically placed on hold and the other party will show too with a "Transfer Now" button.
• Finally, when you are ready to transfer the call hit the "Transfer Now" button the call will be transferred and both calls will end for you.
Now, when using Bria for mobile the transfer is a bit different.
• The first thing is to have, of course, an active call
• If you would like to transfer the call directly, then press in the three dot menu and choose "Transfer to..."
A dial pad will show for you to dial the phone number or extension you wish to transfer the call to.
• After you have entered the number/extension by pressing the green button with the arrow inside the call will be transferred immediately.
But if you want to announce the caller before passing the call to the other person, then after the call is active, press the "Pause" button to put the caller On Hold and press the "Plus" button to start another call
• The dial pad will show and you will be able to dial the phone number or extension you wish to transfer the call to.
• When the other call is active, then press the three dot menu and choose "Transfer to other call"
• After choosing this option in the menu, the first active call will be transferred to the new call you have made.
