Queues in Foncentrix allow directing incoming calls to a predetermined group of agents. Normally, call queues are created considering static groups of users that will make them up, but there are times when there are more dynamic queues in which, for one reason or another, agents need to be entering and exiting constantly. This last objective can be achieved in Foncentrix using the Feature Codes following the steps indicated below:
- The first thing you should do is go to your Foncentrix account through the link pbx.linkedip.com (if you don't remember your access credentials, please contact our support team).
- Once inside, go to SETTINGS > FEATURE CODES
The first Feature Code that we will create will be the one that allows an agent to appear active in a queue. For this exercise we will be using an example queue, which we have titled "Example Queue".
- Click on the NEW FEATURE button.
- In the CODE section you will write the code that will allow your agents to activate to receive calls in the queue. In this example, the code will be *100, but you can put whatever you want as long as it starts with * or #.
- In COMMENT we recommend you place a short description, in this case it will be "Login to "Example Queue””.
- Finally, in DESTINATION, you will locate the “LOGIN CALLER TO” option and select the option that applies to the queue you are working on.
- In the end you should have something similar to what is shown in the following image. Press SAVE.
Now, let's configure the Feature Code that allows the agent to deactivate from the queue. For this we repeat the same steps that we mentioned before:
- Click on NEW FEATURE.
- You write the CODE that will allow the agent to disconnect (in this case it will be *101).
- You write a COMMENT that will serve as a description of the Feature Code.
- In Destination, you choose the “LOGOUT CALLER FROM” option and select the option that applies to the queue you are working on.
- In the end you should have something similar to what is shown in the following image. Press SAVE.
Once this is done, when you enter your login code from your extension or telephone, you will automatically be enabled in the queue that you have configured. To deactivate it, it is a matter of dialing the code that you configured to do the logout.
