If you're using a Cisco IP Phone 8845 and need to check or manage your voicemail directly from the phone, follow these steps:
First-Time Voicemail Setup
- Press the Messages button.
- Enter your default PIN (usually
1234), then press#. - Follow the prompts to:
- Record your name
- Record a personal greeting
- Change your PIN
Note: Your new PIN must be at least 4 digits and not a trivial sequence like 1234 or your extension number.
Checking Voicemail on Your Desk Phone
- Press the line button for the desired extension (if applicable).
- Press the Messages button.
- Enter your PIN.
Checking Voicemail Remotely (from a Cellphone or Another Phone)
- Dial your Direct Number.
- When the voicemail greeting starts, press
*. - Enter your extension, followed by your PIN.
Voicemail Menu Options
