WhatsApp integration using Facebook Embed – LinkedIP

The Facebook Embed Method streamlines the WhatsApp Integration process through Gupshup. However, please note that a part of this process will need to be carried out by you, as the end customer. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Once the integration process has been initiated, the LinkedIP team should send you a Link that will open a web page like the following:

Here, you must click on the "Continue with Facebook" button in order to continue.

2. After clicking on "Continue with Facebook", the following window will open:

You should click on "Continue as...", some important points to consider before clicking on this option are:

Make sure that you are previously logged in to Facebook in the same browser in which you are performing this process.
It's important that the person performing this process is the admin of your business Facebook page.
Remember that you must have previously done the account verification process (see article: How to verify your Facebook Business manager account?).

3. You will be shown the following window, in which you must click on "Get Started":

4. In the first point, you will have to fill in the information of your business and click on "Next". (Keep in mind to select the Facebook Page of the business you will be linking to this WhatsApp integration).

5. In the second point you must perform two steps:

Create or select your WhatsApp Business account.
Create a new WhatsApp Business profile.

When you click on "Next" you will be able to fill in the information of your new WhatsApp Business profile, as you can see in the following example image. Again click on "Next".

6. To continue with the process, in the next tab you will have to write the phone number of the WhatsApp we are enabling:

In the same way, Facebook must validate this number, then you must select if you want to validate it via call or SMS. Then click on "Next".

Enter the code you received by SMS or call (depending on what you have chosen) and ready, now you only have to click on "Continue" to finish the process:
